This system was designed for a condominium with limited space and a desire for a designer look that would complement the decor of the room. This packaged system includes a digital active art display, TV, combined with a hidden high performance music system. It also acts as a gaming system and internet video downloading system. Rather than try and hide the TV when not in use it performs a double duty as an art display when not in use for TV, gaming or DVD. It is framed in a manner that makes it appear as a piece of art on the wall. The speakers are hidden behind a custom designed mat that hides the speaker without significantly affecting the performance of the speakers. When viewed from the side all brackets and wires are hidden by a finished cabinet surface. The frame on the TV cabinet is hinged to provide access to the TV and for storage of an optional wireless keyboard and mouse. TV ventilation is designed to be unaffected by cabinet The custom designed cabinet below is designed to house the subwoofer, amplifier, preamplifier, PS3(other options available), and set top box with proper ventilation provided by a temperature controlled forced convection cooling system. All of the equipment is strapped down so that the cabinet can be moved without disturbing the connections. Removable back panels allow easy access for service. The subwoofer is mounted with the single driver facing down through a cutout and is mounted on acoustic isolation material to avoid vibration problems. All cabinet finishes, frame style, and fabric are customized to match the interior of the room. The equipment is connected and tested prior to shipment. The system includes a Crestron remote control programmed and tested so it is ready to go as soon as the system connections are made. Interconnecting harness comes standard in 15' lengths with custom lengths available. All interconnecting wires are labeled for simple connection by the end user or installer. Installation of the TV cabinet is simplified because the large back panel of the cabinet is made of 1/2” plywood and can be mounted to studs or with large drywall anchors anywhere within area behind the frame.
