Music is one of the few universally emotionally appealing experiences for the human species. Language is not even a barrier to enjoyment. Like most of you I find the quality of sound to be very important in my music listening experience. I have spent the better portion of my life pursuing a more emotionally engaging and lifelike music experience in my audio and theater systems. This is the core of my passion.
My goal with Audible Images is to provide knowledge to the consumer so that a good purchasing decision can be made. It is my belief that a true scale of performance is the key to good decision making. In order to help I believe that I need to provide an opportunity for all to experience some of the best of what is available. To achieve this I have created a listening environment in my showroom that is designed to act as a reference point.
As an equipment reviewer I quickly realized that a consistent reference quality sound room was critical in evaluating the performance of any piece of equipment. Unfortunately most reviewers have listening rooms that are not properly designed or even change regularly with equipment, furniture or other variations such as HVAC variations when heating and cooling needs change. Our industry is full of experts but it is often difficult to interpret reviews due to these types of variables. I have seen reviewers attempt to compare the performance of a pair of speakers in two different rooms. This is obviously a very flawed approach to equipment evaluation. It is no wonder that there are so many skeptics.

I also understand that the listening room is a major variable in all systems. Some equipment combinations my not be appropriate for particular rooms. Whenever possible I will be happy to provide for in-home auditions.
